Chapter 385
"I always looked up to him, but I never thought he'd be this kind of person," Mr. Thompson blurted out, his voice dripping with disappointment and outrage. "Camila has a boyfriend, and he has a girlfriend!" Bryan watched him, trying to suppress a laugh. His face turned beet red from the effort.
He gave Mr. Thompson a reassuring pat on the shoulder, keeping his tone calm. "Mr. Thompson, let's not jump to conclusions. Maybe these two are actually together?"
Mr. Thompson paused, the anger in his eyes giving way to surprise as he turned to Bryan. "You mean... Camila might be the future Mrs. Boss?"
Bryan raised an eyebrow and smiled, not saying a word, but his expression said it all.
Mr. Thompson's jaw dropped. "Really?"
Unable to contain his excitement, he exclaimed, "Wow, Mr. Connor and Camila are together!"novelbin
Bryan quickly covered his mouth, whispering, "Keep it down! We don't want everyone to hear."
He glanced around, making sure no one else had noticed, then let go.
Realizing his mistake, Mr. Thompson chuckled awkwardly and whispered back, "Sorry, I got too excited. I can't believe Mr. Connor and Camila are a thing; this is huge news!" Bryan nodded, "Exactly."
"Got it."

The annual gala had finally arrived.
Camila spent the day running around, overseeing everything to ensure the evening went off without a hitch.
As the gala started, employees and invited partners began to arrive.
Camila, dressed in a custom-made deep blue gown that perfectly matched her demeanor, stood at the edge of the stage, discussing last-minute details with the host. The hall was buzzing; women, dressed to the nines, chattered excitedly.
The men were amazed, realizing how many beautiful women worked at the company, usually unnoticed.
Logan and Erica arrived fashionably late.
Connor was mingling with the crowd, chatting with Logan, while Erica stood by, looking a bit bored. Camila walked over. "Just got here?"
Erica shrugged helplessly, "Couldn't
help it. I wanted to come over yesterday to hang out with you, but year-end is always so busy. When do you guys break for the holidays? Visiting Cole's hometown this year?"
Camila replied, "We're off next weekend, heading to Cole's hometown on the 29th." "Nervous?"
Camila smiled, "Not really, but my mom's a bit anxious."
"Ha! The first Christmas at the in-laws', even the thought is daunting." Camila nodded in agreement.
At that moment, Connor subtly moved closer to Camila, lightly touching her hand. She immediately shot him a look and whispered sternly, "Too many eyes here keep it appropriate."

Erica couldn't help but burst into laughter, smugly clutching Logan's arm as she glanced at Connor.
Connor looked resigned. When would they ever go public?
The host took the stage, signaling the start of the gala.
"Let's head back to our seats."
They were seated at Table One, right near the stage.
Camila sat next to Connor, sharing the table with Logan, Erica, and several shareholders.
After Connor gave his speech, the gala officially kicked off.
The stage came alive with music and dance, interspersed with the much-anticipated raffle.
The raffle was the highlight for many, especially exciting this year as the company had gone public,
doubling the prizes from last year.
With each draw, cheers erupted from the crowd.
