Chapter 1542 Lilly Receives a Pile of Love Letters
Chapter 1542 Lilly Receives a Pile of Love Letters
The Crawfords acted swiftly, filing lawsuits against the rumormongers quickly. They also helped
Cameron's family win the case against several kids involved in the assault.
At this point, the entire school knew that the Crawfords protected their own, and it became common
knowledge that Lilly and Hannah were the children of the wealthiest family.
Instantly, the attitude of the people surrounding the girls changed.
"Lilly, this is breakfast for you," a blushing female classmate said. "My mom made it…"
Lilly smiled faintly. "Thank you." Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.
She didn't embarrass the girl and accepted the breakfast, although she didn't eat it.
The female classmate felt awkward; her family insisted on her bringing breakfast to Lilly, and she was
mortified.
Fortunately, Lilly didn't refuse.
She had thought an heiress from a conglomerate family would disdainfully glance at her breakfast,
throw it in the trash, and say, 'Even dogs wouldn't eat this!' Unexpectedly, Lilly was different.
After the female classmate left, several male classmates approached.
"Lilly, Lilly, how do you solve this problem? Can you help me?"
"Wow, you got a perfect score in all subjects on last week's test! You're really amazing!"
"Lilly, this is a gift from me… Ahem."
At that, the classroom erupted in cheers. "Wow…"
However, Lilly was stumped. She glanced at the gift before shifting her gaze to the bashful male
classmate running away.
Uh…
From then on, Lilly's backpack would be stuffed with love letters every day she returned home, and the
same was true for Hannah.
The girls' several uncles were on high alert, always waiting at the door.
"Lilly, how was school today?"
Hugh looked at the news with one eye and glanced sideways with the other, perking up his ears to
listen.
"Seriously, these kids are about to take their high school entrance exam, yet they still have the leisure
to write love letters," Bettany mumbled while tidying Lilly's backpack.
Anthony turned in response and narrowed his gaze when he saw the pile of pink letters.
Liam checked Hannah's backpack and also looked into Lilly's later while he was "at it."
Bryson was still in the air, and Jonas was still on set filming.
Edward, on the other hand, grabbed a bunch of pink letters carelessly, wearing an expression of
frustration as if he had raised his daughter with great difficulty, only to encounter a group of rascally
boys who tried to steal her away.
"Look at these stinkin' boys! All rascals! If not for my manners, I'd rip all these letters to shreds!"
Meanwhile, Max brought a mailbox, saying, "Lilly, put all the letters in here. Stacy will skim through
them all. If there's any inappropriate information, she'll automatically filter it for you. If you want to read
someone's letter, she can also pick it out for you…"
Cloud… well, Cloud was a ghost cultivator and is currently waiting below, guarding Nephele Rivera,
waiting for "resurrection."
Gilbert, holding an envelope, smiled gently, patting Lilly's head. "Ah, our little sweetheart has grown up,
and before you know it… she's already receiving love letters!"
"Leave the letters with me. I'll store them for you," said Drake with an icy expression while Zachary
frowned. "A bunch of shameless people."
She's still so little, and they're already trying to make moves!
Blake finally emerged, grabbing a burlap sack from who-knew-where he found, and said with a smirk,
"Lilly, don't feel burdened. The adults in our house are very open-minded. Receiving love letters is a
very normal thing."
Despite what he said, he chucked the letters into the burlap sack and tossed them into his ring before
patting his hands, getting rid of nonexistent dust.
Lilly's lips twitched in response. Aren't you guys overreacting a little bit? I never said I wanted to read
them, have I? In fact, she thought she shouldn't read them, for she was still a student, and her mind
was focused on studying.
If she read them, what if she went back to school and met the boy who wrote her the love letter and
remembered its contents… It would be super awkward, wouldn't it? So, for her, the best course of
action was not to read them. After all, there were too many love letters, and she didn't know who wrote
them. Round it off; it would be as if she never received any love letters at all.
Hannah shook her backpack, looking excited. "Me too, me too! I also have love letters!"
Haha, so they were love letters! Lilly thought those boys wanted to join her Big Head Club and were all
expressing their loyalty to her. Little did she know they were all charmed by her charm. Right? Right?!
Liam poked Hannah's head, teasing, "Jumping on the bandwagon blindly!"
Anthony cast a sidelong glance, and so did Hugh.
Edward, on the other hand, chuckled. "Not bad, Big Head Hanny! To think you'd have admirers!"
Max immediately approached. "Let me take a look! Let me see which brave kid would dare to write you
a love letter."
Gilbert smiled warmly. "It's worth celebrating if someone manages to bag Hannah!"
"But for now, nothing matters more than your studies," Drake hushed. "Other matters can be put on
hold."
"What? Forget about dowry! I'll give whoever can subdue his demoness dowry instead!" Zachary
exulted.
Hannah was stumped, thinking her uncles' reactions were off.
Toward Lilly, they were all aggressive and malicious toward the boys interested in her, whereas, toward
Hannah, they were thankful toward the bold kid who dared to subdue this demoness.
Hannah, in frustration, huffed, "Oh, so I mean nothing to you guys, huh?"
Then again, she, too, would want to pulverize anyone who tried to win Lilly's heart.
Bettany chuckled. "Of course, you're everything. You all are! Big Head Hanny, with a bigger head, you
mean even more!"
The Crawfords burst into laughter, looking at the two girls at home, thinking life was blissful.
Time sure flew. It felt like yesterday when the two little girls were still fighting and crying. Now, they had
grown into graceful young ladies. They were very reluctant to see both grow up.
Luckily, they were in modern times now. If it were ancient times, they would already be discussing
marriage at the age of fifteen. Now, they wanted to delay it until they were in their late twenties or even
not get married at all. After all, the Crawfords could support them just fine.
Even when Anthony and his brothers were no longer around, their boys could still shield them forever.
…
As soon as Ivan rushed back to the Human Realm from the Nether, he heard Lilly aced her exams, the
Crawfords won two lawsuits, and Lilly had received a pile of love letters, all from young and naive male
classmates of her age.
"I did my best," Melody said. "I deliberately held you back during senior year, so you only entered
university at twenty…" At least your grade gap to Lilly's wouldn't be too far off.
As a mother, she naturally knew her son's feelings. She adored Lilly, too. However, she hadn't even
reached high school yet. No matter how much Ivan liked Lilly, he would have to keep it to himself.
Thus, besides helping shorten their grade gap, there wasn't much else she could do.
"I can shorten the grade gap but not the age." Melody sighed. "How about you cast a spell and turn
back time? I'll try my best to delay meeting your father and then give birth to you another few years
later?"
What? Excuse me?! Colton gasped.
Ivan's expression remained cold as he said indifferently, "No need."
Despite what he said, he lowered his icy gaze to his ID and student ID—21 years old. University
sophomore.
Huh… useless things!
If the two cards were living objects, they would be shivering.
