Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1301

She slid in just as the clock ticked over, finding the Medical Hall already buzzing with folks, and yep, Tara was there too.

When Tara spotted her, she just shot a frosty glance her way. After yesterday's showdown with Flora, there was no point in keeping up appearances anymore.

"You've got five days before the Summer family's deal with the Medical Hall runs out. That means you've got five days to wrap this up. I had a whole dossier on the Summer family ready for you, but Ms. Flora, you seem to have it all under control, right? So, you probably don't need my notes," Tara sneered, her voice laced with sarcasm.

The Summer family wasn't known for being an easy bunch. Even Tara struggled with them. She was curious about how Flora planned to get the Summer family to re-sign.

"Honestly, I don't. Your slapdash notes aren't worth my time," Flora shot back.

""You!" Tara's face twisted with anger.

""Hey, Uncle Alan!"

At that moment, a voice broke through the air! Hearing the name Brodie, Tara's eyes widened, and she whipped around to see Brodie strolling right into the Medical Hall. "Uncle!" Tara blurted out, clearly shocked. "What brings you here?"

She'd just been here yesterday; what was he doing back so soon?

"Tara, my dear!" Brodie greeted her with a warm smile, messing up her hair affectionately.

Seeing the food box in his hand, Tara grinned and teased, "Uncle, you bringing me more goodies?"

"Uncle, you're so kind to me, I..."

"Ah, this isn't for you." Brodie cut her off with a chuckle, gently tapping her cheek. "This is for Flora. You ate plenty yesterday; wouldn't you get tired of it if you had more today?" Sweet treats like honey cake were a rare indulgence for Tara, who was mindful of her figure, so Brodie hadn't prepared her share this time.novelbin

Tara's smile froze, disbelief washing over her. Not for her, but for Flora?!

Brodie made his way over to Flora, offering her the food box. Flora gave him a blank look and didn't take it.

"Why the attitude, young lady?"

Brodie asked, a hint of annoyance on his otherwise charming face.. "Still hung up on yesterday? I made this as a peace offering. Can we just move past it?"

She'd been so upset just because he hadn't let her have Tara's share yesterday, and it had kept him up att night. He wasn't sure why he cared so much about what this young woman thought, maybe because Flora reminded him of his little sister.

So, first thing in the morning, Brodie whipped up something special for Flora and brought it over.

"No need to apologize," Flora replied coolly. "You never really mattered to me."

Why be mad over someone who didn't matter?

Brodie caught the drift and laughed, "Alright, alright, whatever you say Try it out; I made it myself, and it's pretty decent. Let's call a truce,

y?" ove

Seeing his sincere look, Flora reluctantly took a bite.

"Not bad," she conceded.

Brodie's smile widened, his bewitching face even more captivating.

Tara watched, stunned, as the two of them bantered like old pals. Flora had only met Uncle a handful of times, and yet here he was, cooking just for her! What kind of magic did she have?!

"Uncle, you..."

Tara began, her voice tight, but before she could continue, a richer voice boomed from upstairs.
