Man With Super Medical Skill (Matthew)

Chapter 3293 Dewsbury

At 7 a.m., the crown prince woke up groggy, only to be pulled to his feet by Matthew.

"Hey, Crown Prince, I'm heading to Dewsbury. Want to come along?" Matthew asked, tossing him a wet towel.

Without hesitation, the crown prince, still a bit dazed, nodded quickly. "Of course, Boss! Wherever you go, I'll follow!" He had been completely worn out by the endless paperwork in Hulwin and would much rather be out on the field than stuck behind a desk. Seeing his enthusiasm, Matthew smiled. It was decided the crown prince would join him on the trip to Dewsbury. Meanwhile, Danny was left in charge of the Royal Guards back in Hulwin.

Later, on the outskirts of Dewsbury, the crown prince carefully drove their SUV down a muddy road in a residential area. The streets were lined with piles of garbage, and sewage flowed freely, filling the air with an awful stench. Both Matthew and the crown prince had to endure the unbearable smell.

...

"Uh, Boss...why are we even driving through here?" The crown prince could barely get the words out without gagging.

Matthew, however, remained calm, his eyes scanning the rundown surroundings. The dilapidated houses, unpaved roads, and trash-filled streets spoke volumes about the poor condition of this area. But Matthew stayed focused, understanding that observing the environment could reveal deeper truths about the city. For the crown prince, though, the stench was too much to handle.

Matthew was reminded of how Hulwin used to look-just like this. Willowbrook, where Larry Slob's mother lived, had been no different. Suburban areas like these often showed the true state of a city.

As they drove on, they spotted a group of children playing in the road up ahead. The crown prince honked the horn, but the kids kept chasing each other without a care in the world.

"These little troublemakers. I'll get them to move," the crown prince grumbled, ready to hop out of the car.

But Matthew gently grabbed his arm and shook his head. "I'll handle it. Stay in the car."

Opening the door, Matthew stepped out and approached the children with a smile. He crouched down and asked, "What game are you playing?"

One of the taller boys, not shy at all, quickly replied, "We're playing cops and robbers!"

Matthew reached into his pocket, pulling out some candies. "How about this? If you answer a few questions for me, these candies are yours. Deal?" Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

The kids' eyes lit up, all of them nodding eagerly. "Ask away! We'll tell you everything!" "Alright, do you know why this road hasn't been paved?" Matthew asked, still smiling.

A boy with a runny nose shot his hand up. "I know! Some bad guys came to our house and asked for a hundred thousand dollars to fix the road. But my dad said we don't have that kind of money, so they yelled at him and left."

Matthew's smile faded slightly. Roads were supposed to be repaired by the city government, but if people were extorting residents for money, something was very wrong. It seemed like Dewsbury had its fair share of corruption.

"And why is all this trash piling up here?" he asked next.

This time, a little girl raised her hand timidly.
