Chapter 189

"What? How is this possible?!"
Both Phoebe and Aaron froze in shock. Their eyes darted toward the couch.
Dustin was sitting there and was wide awake. His piercing gaze locked onto them, which sent a chill down their spines. They were in panic and disbelief.
"You drank two glasses... How can you still be fine?" Phoebe stammered as she pointed at Dustin. Her voice trembled. The drug she had slipped into his drink was so strong that it was nearly impossible to obtain.
She had spiked his drink with her own hand and watched him down it.
How could he possibly be unaffected?
"You didn't drink the wine?!" Aaron said as his face twisted in frustration.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
"I did," Dustin said nonchalantly. "But the drug's too weak. It couldn't even give me the slightest buzz."
Their faces paled. Their disbelief turned to shock.
That drug was infamous for its potency. It was anything but weak.
Little did they know that Dustin's body had long become immune to toxins.
Seeing him unharmed, Irene exhaled in relief. But the heat building in her intensified, and it clouded her mind with a dizzying fog of desire.
Noticing her distress, Dustin raised an eyebrow and fed her a pill.
In an instant, a cool wave coursed through her and swept away the unbearable heat. It restored her reason and clarity.
"I... How did you..." Irene's eyes widened in awe.
Phoebe and Aaron were frozen in disbelief.
A simple pill had neutralized the effects of one of the strongest drugs in existence!
What kind of power was this?
"You saw through their plan from the start, didn't you?" Irene asked softly. Her voice was a mix of gratitude and reproach.
"Amateur tricks," Dustin said dismissively. "You give people too much credit. Sometimes,

you have to learn the hard way."
Her head lowered in shame.
She swore to herself that she would never fall for something like this again,
"You think you're safe?" Phoebe snapped in a venomous voice. "The men from the Crimson Gang are already downstairs. It doesn't matter anyway. You won't make it out of here.
"Irene, you're finished. And as for him-" she Jabbed a finger toward Dustin "--by tomorrow, no one will even find his body"
Aaron chuckled. His grin twisted with cruelty. "Forcing you will just make it more satisfying," he growled and licked his lips with a predatory glint in his eyes.
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
"They're here," Phoebe said gleefully. She practically skipped toward the door.
As the door opened, more than ten men walked into the room.
Aaron addressed them with a smirk. "The rest of you wait outside. Don't worry. You'll get your turn soon enough."
"Thank you, Mr. Aaron!" came a thunderous response from beyond the door before it slammed shut. Dozens of men were stationed outside.
The head of the group was a short man, Pete Kane. He stepped forward and barked at his subordinates. "Show some respect to Mr. Aaron!" "Thank you, Mr. Aaron!" the men said and bowed.
Aaron turned to Pete and smiled. “Mr. Kane, send my regards to your leader."
((
"Certainly, Mr. Aaron," the man said eagerly. His face lit up with a sycophantic grin. Whatever you need tonight, just say the word. The Crimson Gang will handle everything perfectly." He thumped his chest in assurance.
Aaron's eyes gleamed with malice as he glanced at Dustin and Irene, who were seated on the sofa.
"She's all yours once I'm done. Everyone gets a turn." His voice dripped with cruelty as his gaze shifted to Dustin. "As for him, cripple him. Don't kill him, though. I want him alive to watch us destroy her. Once you're done, take him away. Do whatever you like with him, but make sure he never shows his face in Lannopolis again."
"Understood, Mr. Aaron!" Pete said with a lewd grin spreading across his face. As his gaze lingered on Irene, a desire burned in him.
