Chapter 35 Put Too Much Attenion On Her
Chapter 35 Put Too Much Attenion On Her
Pearl was flustered by Richard's cold eyes and forced out a sentence, "Evelina is young
and immature. She came out in early age and she doesn't know many things."
Richard hissed coldly, his eyes were thin and cold, "are you saying that I don't know many things?"
"No no no..."
Pearl felt like he would find fault in everything she said. Therefore, she concluded, "I'm sorry, just
pretend that I didn't say anything. I said too much." felt that whatever she said was wrong, so she just
said, "sorry, just pretend I didn't say anything. I said too much."
She shut her mouth and stopped talking.
Richard glanced at her coldly. After a long time, he held back his coldness back.
The scenery outside the window flashed by. This city, which is familiar to Pearl, has been more
prosperous than seven years ago. After driving into the urban area, the car merged into the traffic flow,
and the neon lights gradually lit up, covering the whole city.
Richard dropped Pearl at her apartment.
He handed over Pearl a box of chocolates before she got off the car. He stared at her shocked face
and maintained his cold voice. "It's not for you. It's for Bonny."
Holding the box of chocolates, Pearl's eyes were suddenly sour. It took a long time to before she
spoke, "Then I thank you for Bonny, and thank you for sending me back today."
The window slowly rolled up, Richard's cold face disappeared behind the window. Before the window
was shut, she looked at his eyes. Pearl forgot hidding the pain in eyes. Although she quickly turned
away her face, he still spotted her.
Back then, they had been together for four years, and they even knew each other better than
themselves. If she didn't leave without a word seven years ago, no one would have expected that their
relationship would end in that summer.
It was late night when Pearl entered the door.
The twins were in the living room. When they heard the sound from the door, a pink figure bounced up
from the sofa like a ball. Bonny rushed to Pearl and hugged the latter. "Mommy, you're back!" The
twins were in the living room. When they heard the sound of opening the door, Bonny quickly bounced
up from the sofa, and hugged Pearl, "Momm!"
Bending down and hugging Bonny, Pearl felt a little better. She asked softly, "How was today? Did you
listen to your brother and behave well?"
"Of course, I always listen to Brandon. You can ask him."
Bonny saw the box of chocolates that Pearl was holding. Her eyes lit up. "It's chocolate!"
Pearl came to her senses and handed the chocolate to Bonny. "It's for you."
"Wow, I've wanted to eat this for a long time, but it's not sold here!" Bonny held the imported chocolate
in an big iron box. "Mommy, where did you get this!"
"It's..." Pearl was about to say that name, but she stopped. "A friend gave it to me. Share it with your
brother."
"A friend?" Bonny blinked and asked softly, "What friend? Have Brandon and I met that person?"
Pearl smiled reluctantly and answered, "I'll show you if I have chance."
"Is your friend an uncle or an auntie?"
Pearl hesitated for a second and answered, "Uncle."
"Did he like you?"
"Nope."
"Is he handsome?"
"Um... "
"Is he handsome like Daddy?" Bonny mentioned 'daddy' suddenly, which made Pearl's face stiff and
her delicate eyebrows frown slightly. "I've told you many times. That's not your Daddy."
Obviously, Bonny did not take her words seriously. Instead, she acted like an adult and said, "Mommy,
since you have Daddy, you can't accept gifts from others."
Pearl looked at Bonny and said, "Ok. Give me the chocolates back. I'll return it to him." This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
Bonny's face changed instantly after hearing that. She held the box tightly like was protecting
something. She took two steps back, almost tripped and said seriously, "That uncle must be like Ethan.
I know he's not pursuing you!"
Then, Bonny ran into the living room hurriedly and leaped onto the sofa, "Brandon, your
favorite chocolate!"
Pearl stood up straight and smiled with a helpless face. Then she started to support herself against the
cupboard and change her shoes.
It was getting dark, but the lights were still on in Richard's office.
Outside of the huge window, the night view was bustling, with endless traffic.
Richard stood in front of the window. He was tall and straight. His white shirt was pulled up loosely,
revealing his strong arms. A cigarette was holding between his slender fingers.
Someone knocked on the door, "Mr. Zellweger."
"Come in." Richard turned around and snuffed out the cigarette end in the ashtray, "what's the matter?"
Ted hesitated for a second and replied, "Mr. Watson called from the hospital. He asked if we need to
find another medical expert on set."
Richard frowned and asked, ""Hmm? Why?"
"It was put forward by the crew. I looked into it, and it look like the female lead's request." Ted observed
Richard's expression carefully and continued, "Maybe she can't get along with Dr. Yonng. But, it was
your order to let Dr. Yonng be the medical consultant, so Mr. Watson wanted to ask your opinion."
"Mr. Zellweger, how should I apply to Mr. Watson?" Richard was silent, and Ted asked carefully.
The office's lighting was bright, and the fluorescent light shone down on Richard, adding a layer of frost
on him. "We're not changing." The light in the office was bright, and the cold light shone on Richard's
head, adding a little cold, "We won't change."
Ted was stunned. Then he replied, "Yes, Sir."
"Mr. Zellweger, you seem really kind to Dr. Yonng." After hesitating for a while, Ted pointed out.
He had been working with Richard for many years. But Richard never put in so much effort for
anyone. He looked her up, even worried about her job for a doctor who had only met several times.
Ted'words made Richard's eyes cold, and he got an unplesant glance from Richard. "Nice to her?
Which part looks like I'm nice to her?"
Ted' heart clicked, and didn't dare to speak more.
"It's getting late. You can get off work," said Richard, who seemed a little agitated and waved Ted out.
"Yes, Sir."
Ted closed the door quietly. After the "click"sound echoed slightly for a few seconds. The huge office
gradually returned to quiet, and Richard could hear his own breathing.
He was in the office, alone.
Thinking of Ted's words, He felt annoyed.
Were he kind to her?
He arranged Pearl to be a consultant in the crew, not for taking care of her. Why was he the only one
who was still hung up about what happened? Wht could she start again and come back whenever she
wanted?
And the two children, in addition to the date of birth, he couldn't find more information, even something
about Pearl when she was abroad. It seemed that someone concealed it on purpose. He could only
find some of her academic scientific research work.
What happened to her in the past seven years?
