Never

Chapter 21

After Samson left the hotel, Chloe came to Linda’s room. The two sisters lay on the bed, chatting casually.

“Linda, can you really let it go?” Chloe was no longer a little girl and understood more now.

Linda puiled the blanket tighter around herself. “I can let it go. It’s just a matter of time.”

“Linda, think about everything he did to you four years ago and your six–month stay in the hospital in Usna.

Those unbearable, painful memories surged into Linda’s mind as soon as Chloe mentioned them. It made her feel miserable.

Chloe knew how difficult it was for Linda to let go of a man she once loved deeply. What was more was that this was someone she had known since childhood.

“Linda, just like Mom and Dad, I respect all your decisions. When you wanted to help William, we supported you. Then, when you wanted to leave after getting hurt, we respected and supported you, too.

“But Linda, you really need to think it through. William may feel genuinely guilty toward you, but that’s and not love. You’ll always feel incomplete if you can’t get his love.”

Chloe continued, “I support your revenge. That’s why I came back to help you with it. I don’t want you to regret anything, understand?” Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Chloe was Linda’s last family member in the world and the only one who truly understood her.

“I understand, Chloe. I will let go.

Tears streamed down Linda’s face without her realizing it. Of course, she understood Chloe’s words.

She couldn’t keep sinking into this. William was not her match.

“Linda, I know your marriage with Samson is because of Lexi, but I still think that Samson is really suitable for you.”

An outsider’s perspective often provided the clearest view. Chloe could see that Samson had feelings for

Linda.

“When all this is over, why don’t you both let go of Lexi and try being together?”

Linda sighed. “Chloe, if there was a real possibility between me and Samson, maybe I wouldn’t have been so obsessed with William back then.”

The reason Samson could earn/Linda’s trust was because of his lack of romantic intentions toward her.

Chloe said no more. Hugging Linda’s arm, she drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, when Linda woke up, Chloe was still sleeping. Not wanting to disturb her, Linda went to

the bathroom in the other room to wash up.

After that, she called for room service to bring two breakfasts and started her work for the day.

that made her laugh.

“Linda, you were right. They’re really desperate.”

Chloe’s tone was full of unabashed mockery, so Linda put down the script and checked the news report.

Linda had anticipated Lucy’s antics–crying, making a scene, and smearing her name to the media. She hadn’t been in the entertainment industry for long, but she knew enough.

Linda called the head of YK Media’s PR department, who had already been notified by Samson.

“Don’t worry, Ms. Felix. The legal department will issue a subpoena to Felix Group today.”

“Has your boss given you the video materials?”

“We’ve received them. Ms. Felix, rest assured.”

“Good. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome, Ms. Felix. You’re YK Media’s vice president and my superior, and it’s my duty to handle

this.”
