At six in the evening. Lenora finished work and went straight to the underground parking garage to wait for Zachary.
In a short while, Zachary also came down.
The driver took the two of them to a private styling studio.
After applying her makeup and styling her hair, Lenora went inside to change her clothes. Holding the hem of her skirt, she walked out.
Zachary had already finished his styling and was sitting on the couch waiting. Upon hearing a sound, he lifted his gaze to look over and couldn't help but be slightly taken aback.
The woman wore exquisite makeup, her almond-shaped eyes slightly curved, captivating and enchanting. Her lips were painted with lipstick that matched her eyeshadow, radiating both passion and seduction.
Her hairstyle wasn't particularly elaborate. As usual, her hair cascaded down, styled with gentle curls on either side to frame her face.
She was dressed in a sky-blue, one-shoulder long dress, her rounded shoulders exposed, accentuating her porcelain-like fair complexion.
Lenora walked up to him, twirled around, and asked, "Does this look work?"
Zachary snapped back to reality and nodded, his gaze falling on Lenora's feet. "Your ankles. are just right for high heels, but aren't they uncomfortable?" "There's nothing wrong."
"Perhaps it's better to switch to flat heels."
Lenora thought of the child in her belly. "That's fine too."
Zachary beckoned, signaling the staff to bring a pair of flat shoes that matched the dress.
Lenora sat down on the couch, bending over to take off her shoes. Zachary squatted down in front of her. "Let me help you with that."
He gently held Lenora's ankle, methodically removing the high heels from her feet. Then, he picked up
the flat shoes from the box and, one by one, slipped them onto Lenora's feet.

His movements were cautious and careful, his face bearing a serious expression. He was elegant, and his smoothly contoured profile deeply attracted Lenora. After changing the shoes, Zachary stood up and said, "Let's go."
"This is my first time going. If there are any rules, give me a heads up." Lenora took the initiative to link arms with Zachary,
"Mm. Attending such a banquet is merely a way to pass the time. There will be a jewelry auction at the charity dinner. If you see something you like, let me know." "All right."
Upon arriving at the banquet venue, the two of them, hand in hand, walked across the red carpet and entered the venue's interior.
"Mr. Fuller has arrived. It's indeed a rare sight."
"Mr. Fuller seems to be in high spirits."
"Mr. Fuller, about the project in Citraine..."
Several well-dressed men, accompanied by their female companions, came forward to greet them. It was akin to a constellation of stars surrounding the sun. Zachary exchanged a few pleasantries with them.
A man gestured toward Lenora, standing next to Zachary, his face wearing an ambiguous smile. "Mr. Fuller, who might this be?"
"My sister, Lenora."
With a warm smile, Lenora greeted a few people.
"So this is Ms. Wilkin. I've long admired your reputation. Today, I finally have the pleasure of meeting you."
"Ms. Wilkin should really attend these activities more often."
After exchanging a few pleasantries, Zachary whispered into Lenora's ear, "There are some friends over there. I'm going to greet them. There's food over there, too. If you're feeling bored, you can also sit there for a while. I'll come find you when the auction starts." "All right."
Lenora made her way toward the dessert section, selecting a sweet treat for herself. She then grabbed a glass of white wine and settled down in the lounge area. As she savored her dessert

Those who attended the banquet were all prominent figures of Jacaster, each with a certain degree of wealth.
Lenora had never participated in such an event before.
She was well aware of her own worth. Firstly, she was not a biological daughter of the Fuller family, and secondly, she did not grow up in the Fuller household. People in their circle might have been polite to her on the surface, but they might not have truly respected her deep down.
Just like Zachary's friends around him, apart from Michael, Lenora always felt a sense of distance when interacting with others. It was unlike how they treated Susanna, where they could freely joke around and laugh without any reservations. They were the people of a certain circle.
A fashionably dressed woman came over to greet Lenora, "Hey, why are you sitting here all by yourself?"
Lenora looked up at her, a faint smile on his face. "I injured my foot a few days ago, so I can't stand for too long.
The woman glanced at her ankle without saying much. She sat down next to Lenora and nudged her with her elbow. "My name is Dawn Shurmer. What's yours?"
""Lenora Wilkin."
Dawn moved closer to Lenora, whispering, "I saw you come in with Zachary earlier. How did you end up with him?"
Lenora turned to look at Dawn, carefully sizing her up and down.
Dawn's attire appeared luxurious, but in reality, it was an outdated style. The bag she carried by her side was an old model from a niche brand.
Seeing Lenora remain silent, Dawn continued to ask, "Judging by your attire, Zachary must have spent quite a bit on you, right? It must be quite challenging to reel in these wealthy people, isn't it?"
"I don't know about this."
"Don't be like that. Could you share some of your experience with me? My guy is quite stingy. I begged him for a long time before he brought me to this banquet. I've been wanting to kick him out for a while now."

"I don't know. I didn't bait him." Lenora said, holding her wine glass and dessert as she stood up to leave. She found another spot and sat down.
Upon seeing this, Dawn let out a cold snort.
You've already played the harlot, so why are you still pretending to be innocent here?
People were continuously arriving at the entrance of the banquet.
Lenora casually lifted her gaze, only to suddenly spot a familiar figure-Susanna.
She also attended the charity dinner.
"What are you looking at?" A male voice echoed in her car as Jonas took a seat next to Lenora. Regaining her composure, Lenora glanced at Jonas, surprised. "How did you end up here
too?"
"My manager sent me here, I didn't expect to find you as well. How's your foot injury?"
"It's fine. It's almost completely healed."
"That's good. Are you
alone?"
"I came here with Mr. Fuller."
Jonas raised an eyebrow. "I just saw Susanna. I thought she came with Zachary. Well, isn't that
so?"
Lenora followed Jonas' direction and looked over.
Navigating through the sparse crowd, she saw Susanna, who had somehow positioned herself in front of Zachary. They were engaged in conversation, and Zachary wore a gentle smile on his face. They truly looked like a perfect pair. Lenora's face turned pale, a sharp pain piercing (hrough her heart.
She shifted her gaze, changing the subject. "When does the filming for Cloudwater City begin? When do you join the crew? If I have time, I might even come to visit you on set."
After speaking, Lenora immediately regretted itContent bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
She had spoken without thinking just now, and only after she finished did she abruptly realize that the female lead of Cloudwater City was Susanna.
Jonas, however, took her words seriously. He laughed and said, "You said it yourself. I'll be joining the team at the end of the month. I'll notify you then, so you must come and visit me

Lenora absentmindedly responded with a "hmm."
Jonas took the initiative to find a topic, and the two chatted for a while longer.

Jonas casually remarked, "The charity auction is about to start. I suspect Susanna will be sitting with your Mr. Fuller. Why don't you sit next to me instead?"
Lenora shook her head in refusal. "Perhaps not. There might be reporters around."
Jonas didn't insist. He nodded. "That's true."
Seeing that Lenora had finished the dessert in her hand, Jonas asked, "What would you like to eat? I'll go get it for you."
"Could you please get me a piece of matcha cake? Thank you."
Jonas stood up and went to the dessert section, picking up two slices of matcha cake. "Here," he said, offering them. "Thank you."
"Lenora."
Someone called out to her.

Lenora lifted her head, only to find that Zachary had somehow appeared before her, his o a deep abyss of darkness.
"Mr. Fuller," Jonas greeted Zachary.
Zachary's gaze fell upon Jonas, sizing him up and down. With an indifferent nod, he turned to Lenora and said in a low voice, "The auction is about to begin. Come and sit with me."
"All right," Lenora said with a smile, standing up to address Jonas, "Goodbye, we'll talk more. next time."
A hint of darkness flashed in Zachary's eyes.
"Let's chat-again next time," Jonas said.
