Nelly POV
| and Shantel arrived at the pack house, our steps echoing through the dimly lit corridor until we reached the imposing door to the Alpha’s office.
Upon our arrival, Shantel gave me a mischievous smirk, leaving me with an unsettled. feeling.
The pack guards stationed at the door let me in, and | immediately became scared and | silently prayed to the moon goddess as anxiety swept through me because | was acutely aware that | was the only one allowed to step into the Alpha’s private office. Entering the sp acious office, my blood ran cold as my eyes came upon Alpha Kex.
He was seated in a grand high-backed chair, his posture exuding regal authority and an intimidating aura. Astel also sat beside him looking all mighty and high and it irritated.

feet.
His dark eyes bore into mine, calculating and intense, making my heart race. It was as if he was straight right into my soul. This man was too scary, too terrifying.
“You will leave with Alpha Kex tomorrow,” Astel’s voice suddenly rang out in the room. His tone loud and clear as if leaving no room for negotiation.
My eyes widened, panic rising in my chest. | turned to where Astel was standing, but he looked away, his face impassive, Was he saying the truth?
“Leaving?” | whisper yelled as my voice came out in a questioning tune.
The idea of leaving with Alpha Kex to his dwelling was both terrifying and bewildering. | had heard his pack was the most inhumane place to ever be.
The Black Moon Pack was known for its brutality, filled with ferocious people, they were well-known and their alpha King was no other than -Alpha Kex.
He’s the alpha of all alphas, the Werewolf King.

I
may have never visited the Black Moon Pack in my entire life, but | had heard scary tales. Tales scary enough to make children pee on themselves and adults unable to sleepNôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
Was Astel really giving me away to the ruthless alpha? What was he thinking?! What did | do wrong?!
“You heard me; | won't like repeating myself twice or there will be consequences!” Astel snapped icily, his deep voice sending chills down my
spine.
| felt helpless and vulnerable, hot tears welling up in my eyes as | tried to fight back the rising panic. No, this couldn’t seriously be happening.
| stag gered backward, shaken.
The atmosphere in the sp ac ious office grew tense, almost suffocating for me. | was. almost losing control of my own breathing. | shifted my attention back to Alpha Kex, my eyes imploring him. “Plea-please, Alpha,” my voice quivered, “Do.... Don’t let me leave with you. | don’t want to leave my pack.” | stammered hoping he would reject Astel’s offer..
Why would he even agree for me to follow him to his pack? | wasn’t of any importance to him so why?
Alpha Kex remained unmoved, his cold, dark eyes unwavering.
“You have no choice Nelly. My decision is final” Astel said again and my heart shattered
even more.
Fresh tears fueled up in my eyes as | knelt on the floor, unable to accept the reality. “Please, no! You can’t take me with you; I don’t want to leave!”

Alpha Kex’s eyes still held no emotions, their intensity sending shivers through my entire body.
| fearfully cowered and turned to Astel, frantically praying he changes his mind and tells me he was joking.
Astel’s expression remained unyielding, and | implored, “Don’t let him take me, | beg you! Astel, please!”
“The decision has been made and finalized,” Astel responded, his tone devoid of emotion. “You are no longer a member of my pack, Nelly.”

My world felt like it was crashing down around me, and | felt a familiar lump in my
throat.
Could he truly be planning to hand me over to this heartless Alpha? No, | won’t accept this!
“But Astel’ | tried to talk him out of it, but instead his contempt for me grew increasingly.
“You're wasting your breath, Astel interrupted flatly, his words leaving me in disbelief.
My mouth went dry, my chest pounding, as | gawked at him in shock.
“| will die!, Astel! Please, we’re mate....
Before | finished my words, Astel stood up and slapped me across the face.
“Ah!” | cried out, falling to the ground, my hand instinctively reaching for my stinging check.
Astel’s eyes blazed with anger as he leaned down,
he grabbed me by the hair, pulling my head back roughly.
His growl filled the vast office with menace, and he leaned in close, his eyes locked onto mine meanly.
But even as Astel did so, my gaze shifted to Alpha Kex, who remained impassive and apathetic, giving away no sense of caring. Yet, what had | expected from him? From what | had understood, Alpha Kex was a man without a heart, a cold-blooded alpha. My hope waned. | was practically hopeless.
“Shantel’s carrying my heir. ” Astel whispered in my ear, his voice low and menacing."1 will claim her as my Luna next week. So you are dead or alive has nothing to do with me, understood?
He released his grip on my hair, and | fell to the floor, a so b escaping my lips. When, how did she get pregnant.
On the other hand, Astel smirked, he turned to face Alpha Kex and declared, “She is yours, Alpha.”
Alpha Kex suddenly stilled/with an unreadable expression, his poise untainted.
