Revenge Of The Jilted Bride (Ophelia)

Chapter 353

The car stopped in front of the building of Sinclair Group.

Ophelia felt a bit sick. It happened every time she took a car driven by Ray.

She held back the nausea and got out of the car, looking a bit pale.

Ray said, "Mrs. Sinclair, you stayed up all night. How about taking a quick rest first? You'll need your energy to handle those cunning people later." Ray was a bit worried. After all, Ophelia didn't sleep at all during the flight.

"Elia, are you alright?" Eric asked, handing her a piece of candy.

Ophelia really needed it right now, so she quickly took the candy unwrapped it, and put it into her mouth.

The rich green apple flavor spread in her mouth, soothing the discomfort in her chest.

Ophelia said, "I'm fine. Let's go."

In the office on the top floor of Sinclair Group, the grayish decor looked particularly oppressive at night.

The lights were turned up bright as if it were daytime, with half the window reflecting the outside world and the other half mirroring the room.

"Why isn't Mr. Sinclair here yet, Mark?" asked a gray-haired but wrinkle-free middle-aged man.

He was dressed in a gray suit, sitting opposite the head seat, and reclining in his chair as if he owned the place.

"Humph... Mr. Joule, you've never been so eager to see Mr. Sinclair, so why the rush today?" Mark sneered slightly with a faint sardonic smile.

Everyone here today was an executive of Sinclair Group, along with a few shareholders who rarely appeared.

Kenneth used to forcibly have them under control with his strength, but now that he was not here, they didn't take Mark seriously at all. Hardy wore a friendly smile, and the lights reflected off his shiny forehead. Even though he wasn't speaking, people around him were discussing.

"Mark, you're not fooling us, are you? Mr. Sinclair hasn't returned yet, has he?"

"Exactly. With such a major issue, isn't it strange that Mr. Sinclair hasn't appeared for so long?"

"Could something have happened to Mr. Sinclair? If something did, our company would need a leader!"Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"Indeed..."

Mark realized that these people were aiming at seizing the power Just as he was about to speak, the conference room door was pushed open from the outside. Everyone in the conference room turned to look at the door.

After a moment of silence, someone sneered and said, "What is this supposed to mean? Mr. Sinclair sent a woman back to take charge?" Another one said, "Are you kidding me? Isn't it just wasting time?

Ophelia entered the conference room, and Ray shut the door behind her, locked it, and stood in front of the door like a wall.

The crowd took a glance and then dismissively looked away.

Mark stood next to Ophelia. Though he wasn't quite confident, is expression showed no sign of it.

Ophelia sat in the main seat and went through the documents as if she wasn't here to do something important.

Hardy, sitting opposite her, stood up, casually glanced over Ophelia, and then looked at Mark.

He said, "Mark, what's the meaning of this? Didn't you say Mr. Sinclair was coming back today?"

"Kenneth hasn't finished his business abroad yet. I'm back to handle everything. It's the same," Ophelia said as she closed the file, tossed it onto the table, and looked up at Hardy. There was a coldness in her eyes.

Hardy said, "Same? Hahaha. Mr. Sinclair might enjoy playing games with you, but we won't. Besides, only Mr. Sinclair can handle this."

Hardy adjusted the buttons on his suit and stood up.

Other than Kenneth, he wouldn't give anyone any respect.

"Do you really want Kenneth to come back and handle this? If he does, do you think you can still sit here comfortably?" Ophelia said calmly. "If the issue can't be solved today, you all have to stay here." Hardy pursed his lips, raised an eyebrow, and then adjusted his cuff and the expensive watch on his wrist.

He said, "Humph. Young lady, you think you can stop me? Ridiculous."

He got up and walked toward the door.

Then he said, "Move away."

As soon as Hardy finished speaking, Ray pointed his gun right at Hardy's forehead.

Hardy froze. He swallowed, stiffly turned his head to look at Mark and said, "Mark, what's the meaning of this? Are you gonna lay hands on me? You just let this happen? Are you going to allow an unqualified woman to cause chaos here?" Mark said, "Mr. Joule, please watch your words. This is Mrs. Sinclair, Mr. Sinclair's legitimate wife. She owns half of the entire Sinclair Group. You think she has no right to do this?"

Hardy finally looked at the girl sitting in the main seat.

He thought, 'No wonder she had the nerve, but I don't believe she would dare to hurt me.'

Hardy said, "Huh. Go ahead, then. Shoot me if you have the guts!

"Guys, you've heard that. I've never heard anyone make such a request before. Everyone here can be a witness." Ophelia smirked and then glanced at Ray.

Ray said, "Yes, Mrs. Sinclair."

Every executive in the office turned to look at the entrance.

Ray chambered a bullet and put his rough finger on the trigger. The dark barrel of the gun slowly moved downward. Then the gun was pressed against Hardy's shoulder. Chapter 353

Maybe Ray wouldn't dare to shoot Hardy's head, but his shoulder...

Hardy's face turned pale at once. He said, "Mark. No, Mrs. Sinclair, what do you want?"

"Isn't that clear? To fulfill your request." Ophelia's voice turned particularly cold as she spoke the last few words.

But her face still held a sweet smile. Although she looked a bit unwell, she seemed as harmless as a little rabbit.

Hardy sneered, but before he could speak, one of the men at the table said, "Who are you trying to frighten? Without Mr. Sinclair here, no one can cover for you! Who do you think you are, and why should we listen to you?" Ophelia nodded. "Okay, you can refuse to listen to me. Is there anyone else who wants to leave? I can give you a hand. Going out the window might be quicker, right?"

Ophelia's smile was bright, yet her words were so terrifying.

They really didn't believe that this young girl could stir up any trouble.

They listened to her before out of respect for Kenneth, but now that he was not here, they wouldn't take her seriously at all.

A few people stood up, looking impatient.

They complained, "What a waste of time."

"Indeed."

Eric, who was standing beside Ophelia, sneered while chewing bubblegum. He blew a bubble, and then tied his hair into a bun at the back of his head.
