Richest Mogul 1280

Chapter 1280

Ned narrowed his eyes, his gaze penetrating. Rosa felt a rush of anxiety under his scrutiny. Suddenly, she regretted being so assertive earlier. After waiting over three years, perhaps she should have held back a little longer.

Soon, they would return to Murida to hold their wedding.

On their wedding day, Ned wouldn’t be able to resist her. Afterward, when she became pregnant, she wouldn’t have anything to worry about.

She blamed Skylar for asking so many questions in the hospital today. They had completely

thrown her off balance.

“I’m feeling a bit tired after coming back from the hospital, so I’m going to sleep now. Don’t overthink things, and get some rest too. We have a flight at 10:00 am, and we need to wake up early,” Rosa said quickly, unable to linger.

After saying a few hurried words, she slipped away. Ned acknowledged her with a brief hum before closing the door.

Once the door clicked shut, he didn’t go to bed. Instead, he moved to the window.

He pulled a pack of cigarettes from his pocket. As he lit one, a flash of a memory flickered in

his mind.

Looking down at the cigarette between his fingers, he fell silent for a long moment. Skylar’s influence on him had become unexpectedly profound. She had completely unsettled his thoughts.

After a few minutes, he stubbed out the cigarette in the ashtray and headed to the bathroom. Meanwhile, Rosa lay in bed, actively searching for information about Joe for the first time.

Previously, she might have instinctively resisted wanting to learn more about Joe. Even after arriving in Jipsburg and realizing how closely he resembled Ned, she had chosen to ignore him. But now, she understood that she needed to find out more. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

The online reports about Joe were all from over three years ago. Yet, he felt like a figure from a myth, not just well–born but also a force in the business world. He was someone who commanded respect and fear at the same time.

Aside from his childhood sweetheart Vera and his fiancée Lizzie, he seemed to have no women

in his life.

Just like her previous investigation into Skylar’s background, only a handful of photos connected Skylar and Joe. These images only sparked vague speculations without concrete evidence confirming their relationship.

The articles‘ descriptions of Joe played out in her mind like a vivid movie. They overlapped

with her memories of Ned. In the past, Ned had lacked the ability and determination he now possessed.

So…

Rosa suddenly threw her phone down. Her heart raced, pounding in her chest.

Tonight was bound to be another sleepless night for her.

Meanwhile, over at Parkinson Residence, Aiken was reviewing emails in his study.

He had received results from his investigation into Ned. Several of his people were in Murida. Although thoroughly investigating Ned would take some time, he was confident they would uncover significant details.

Ned had been in a car accident over three years ago, spending a month in the hospital before making a complete recovery. Before the accident, he had been nearsighted and wore glasses, but now he didn’t. Aiken noted that Ned hadn’t switched to contact lenses either.

Moreover, there were no records of any eye surgery. Before the accident, Ned had worked at a company with very average capabilities.

He wondered how a person could undergo such a drastic transformation. Additionally, both events occurred over three years ago at the same location where Joe had his incident.

So…
