"Are you free to speak now, Caroline?" Liberty asked.

"I'm always free if you need my help."

"Let's meet up somewhere then. You can choose the location."

Caroline agreed. She asked, "What happened?"

"I just came out of Fortress Hotel and almost got hit by two cars at the entrance. They said they accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake because they got nervous seeing a crowd. There was a flaw though. I doubt it was simply an accident."

Caroline understood immediately. She said, "Are you suspecting that my mother was behind this?

"I don't think so because she isn't around."

Although Caroline knew Belinda was not a good person, she still hoped her mother would not do such a thing.

Liberty replied, "I don't think it's your mom either. She's cunning, yes, but even if she wants me dead, she won't use such a poorly planned and obvious scheme."

Liberty, Kevin, and Hayden had previously attended a banquet at Fisher Manor and they were involved in an accident on their way back. Although they knew Belinda was behind it, there was no evidence pointing to her as the culprit.

While the second accident also unfolded naturally, two cars with two drivers giving the same explanation felt off.

Even if they were friends, did they share the same mind?

How could they have done the same thing?

"I'll send you an address. You can head there now. I'll go over as soon as possible."

"Okay."

Caroline hung up and sent the address of her own company to Liberty It was located away from the city center. It would take half an hour by car as it was in an entirely different district.

It would be safer to talk there as that place was her territory.

After sending the address, Caroline called Darren When he picked up, she told him everything that Liberty had shared with her earlier and said, "Go investigate if it was an accident or an intentional act, and whether my mom, dad, or brothers were behind it."

She did not think it was her mother's doing and guessed it was likely Adrian.

Darren replied, “Okay. I'll look into it."

"Do it as quickly as you can. I'm heading out to meet Liberty and talk to her. Let me know once you find something so I can give Liberty an explanation."

Darren knew that even though Liberty and Caroline were competitors, they admired each other. They would have become best friends if it were not for their identities.

Since Caroline had told him to look into Liberty's accident, he would do so accordingly.

After informing Darren, Caroline asked her secretary for Adrian's whereabouts. He had not left his place.

Of course, he would not have had to leave his house. A call would have sufficed.

Although Adrian could not be the

successor, as a young master of the Fishers, he could still recruit people loyal to him. The only downside was that hecould not have too many of them because Belinda did not allow it.

Belinda wanted to ensure that Celine would have the greatest power in the family when she succeeded the position. However, she did not expect that Celine was not her biological child.

Caroline thought, 'Would Mom have let her sons grow stronger if she had known Celine was not her biological daughter?'

Belinda would never hand over the position of matriarch to a daughter of their extended family.

If her daughter was not found, she would have changed the family rules and supported Adrian as the successor.

Caroline could understand why her brothers and father disliked her when she returned to the Fisher family.
