If it were not for Liberty's intervention, Celine would not have died.

Although many factors contributed to Celine's death, Adrian dared not bother his mother or Caroline. Therefore, he unleashed his anger on Liberty.

While Liberty had three influential families-the Yorks, Lewises, and Stones-supporting her, they were based in Wiltspoon, not Jensburg. He would be fine as long as he was not too obvious.

Caroline did not know what Adrian was plotting. Just as she exited the building and got into her car, she received the results of Darren's investigation.

She did not react when she saw it. Instead, she started driving calmly and left the company.

A few minutes later, Darren called her.

Caroline parked her car by the roadside before answering the call.

"Ms. Caroline, Mr. Adrian was behind Ms. Hunt's almost getting hit by two cars."

Darren had sent Caroline sufficient evidence that Adrian had been behind the incident.

"I saw the outcome. I knew it'd be him."

Caroline said, "He's really stupid. Who arranges a fake accident like that? One car would've been enough, but he used two because he was afraid of failing, and even had the cars go one after another. Did he take Liberty for a fool?"

She was speechless.

How did Adrian even become ambitious and think of becoming the head of the Fisher family with those worrying methods and intelligence?

If Fisher Enterprise were to be handed over to him, he would not be able to protect it.

"I'm going to meet Liberty now. She suspects him too. She must've gotten someone to look into it. Mr. Kevin and Mr. Queen are returning from their vacation soon, right?"

Kevin had taken Hayden on a vacation. Hugh was the one managing Queen Enterprise in the meantime.

Darren thought Caroline was worried that Kevin might target her once he was back.

He reassured her, saying, "Mr. Kevin and Mr. Queen can't do anything to you even if they're back. You weren't the one behind the accident."

"I'm not worried. It's just that my partnership with Queen Enterprise hasn't been finalized yet. Hugh has been busy, so I haven't discussed it with him."

Darren smiled. “It'll work out. Don't worry. They should be back in two days."

"Can you check if Justin and Jason have done anything behind my back? Not only that, but a few ladies in the family have been sending information to Liberty privately. Keep an eye on them."

Darren replied respectfully, "Okay."

After a short pause, he asked, "What do you think about Liberty?"

"What am I supposed to think? I like men, not women."

Darren said, "I didn't mean it that way, Ms. Caroline."

He did not want her to like women either.

He wanted to be a loving couple with her.

Caroline said, "Liberty and I are competitors. However, we admire each other. Those ladies have already taken Liberty's side. I'm aware, but my mom isn't."

She feared that those ladies would lose their lives if Belinda found out. Not only them but their families could also possibly pass away due to various

reasons.

More importantly, they could not find someone else to depend on.

After Liberty came over, they felt as if they finally had someone reliable.

After all, Liberty was Tiara's descendant and had the support of a few powerful families.

Even the Queen family of Jensburg was on Liberty's side.

"If I weren't Mom's only daughter, I would've loved to be friends with Liberty. We get along well."

Caroline found it a pity.

If only she had a sister, then she would not have to be the successor. She could have done whatever she wanted and become friends with whomever she liked.
