Chapter 176
Chapter 176
“Everybody out. The shop is closed until the woman beside me finishes shopping,” Alpha Calhoun announced, Aurora’s heart stopped when all gazes pinned on her.
“Who is she? Why is he treating her like some kind of princess?” one of the customers murmured but Aurora heard her clearly.
Even her, she could not understand the reason why Alpha Calhoun was suddenly behaving like this, but she was embarrassed, even as everyone hurried out of the store with the exception of the manager of the shopping mall.
“What are you doing? It’s not necessary,” Aurora argued, Alpha Calhoun shrugged, not seeing anything wrong with it.
“How else can you be fast?” He could not admit that she deserved to be treated special and put it that way.
There were was one other thing that would attract a woman to Alpha Calhoun, except smartness or intelligence. It was self–worth.
Aurora among even his pack girls, carried self–worth and never tried to seduce with him. She was unique and skillful, he did not want to lose her, even to her mate, if she found one.
Aurora did not argue anymore, her focus on the items she was picking. “Drop it,” Alpha Calhoun said before she could even try on what she was picking.
He was so close to her, her heart picked up pace, and was beating faster than she wanted it to be.
“These outfits are too cheap. Let’s go the other way.”
Aurora was stunned but not as much as the shop manager, as those were equally expensive brands. Alpha Calhoun never brought any woman to shop before. Could this be the Luna of the Crescent Moon pack?
She held her peace, not causing trouble, but Asena was very popular around here, and had made it aware before leaving to medical school in the human world that she was the Alpha’s fiancé.
Not even her had Alpha Calhoun accompany her shopping. The manager took a picture of the pair and sent it to Asena’s mother, Deborah.
“These are much preferable. Try these on,” Alpha Calhoun personally picked up the dresses he liked in her size for her.
As someone who knew about fashion and brands, Alpha Calhoun had just picked up clothes from Sherry’s collections, which were luxury brands.
“These are too expensive. All the work is centered around the pack.” Aurora was afraid that wearing such clothes would raise eyebrows people suspect that she lived a luxury life.

Her skin was already delicate and attractive and even the nerd glasses did not much in hiding her stunning beauty.
Alpha Calhoun looked pissed as he leaned in to her. “I said, you wear what I like.”

Aurora swallowed tightly, took a step backwards, and went to the changing room. When she stepped out, she saw his eyes light up but soon return
to normal.
“How does it look?” She asked, not expecting an answer the still got one.
“Perfect. Try the others.”
By the time she was done trying those ones, he had picked the next set of clothes for her, and to her shock, they fit perfectly.
The third batch of clothes he selected were casual and those for training. While she tried them, he picked up different kinds of shoes in her size with handbags and jewelry.
The final set of items he picked caused Aurora’s face to redden. “You didn’t have to pick those.” There were luxury undies.
“I’m not asking you to wear them for me to see, but you need them.” He wished to see her in them but knew it was inappropriate.
Aurora was exhausted by the time they were done, surprised that Alpha Calhoun actually waited for her all through.
He did not drive straight to the pack house from there. “I know you are tired so I won’t make you cook lunch. This is the restaurant that always delivered my food.”
“I can’t wait to try it,” Aurora said excitedly and walked ahead in one of the new clothes he picked up for her.
For a moment, Alpha Calhoun’s breath caught up in his throat, as he kept admiring everything about her.

Her body size was perfect, making it look as if the clothes were designed originally for her.
Aurora stared at the menu and ordered Divine Shrimp and Avocado Salad, and Luscious Lobster Sandwich.
Alpha Calhoun did not intervene in her choices, trusting her judgment, but when the dish was served, there was an extra, and the hotel manager brought it herself.
“Alpha Calhoun, garlic butter salmon. One of your favorites,” she stared flirtatiously at him. Turning around, she glared at Aurora, thinking she was a new call girl.
“You should know what Alpha Cal likes and order that for him next time.” Then she paused. “Oops, I forgot. You are not his fiancé.”
Aurora was offended, despite her large heart. She already took his needs into consideration but she just ordered what she could not cook very well because it wasn’t something she or her parents liked.
She wasn’t a professional chef to know how to cook everything.
Alpha Cal smiled, but it did not reach his eyes. “And who ordered this?” He asked in a cold tone as if somebody offended him badly.
Aurora thought he was referring to what she ordered and tried to explain as the restaurant manageress smiled victoriously.
She stood so close to Alpha Calhoun that it was an eyesore.
“I just thought…” Aurora was saying when Alpha Calhoun cut in.
“I wasn’t referring to you.”
The smile froze on the face of the restaurant manageress. “How dare you come here when I haven’t summoned you?”
“A…”
“Shut up,” Alpha Calhoun’s voice cut through. “Take it away and don’t ever do this again.” His voice was stern, not giving room for negotiations.
Hurriedly, she took her recommendation away, filled with anger, annoyance, and embarrassment, as Alpha Calhoun ate what Aurora ordered.
His action filled her with joy, and her heart warmed towards him. “Do you like it? If you don’t…”
“I won’t eat it if I don’t like it,” he cut in, eating so elegantly, Aurora found him different from the man she met on her first day.
Returning to the pack house, Aurora was not ungrateful and thanked him for his kindness.
“Thanks a lot for everything. You can deduct the cost from whatever amount you are going to pay me.”
Her words annoyed Alpha Calhoun but he smiled faintly.
“It’s just a small token for your hard work. I will take care of a few things.” Aurora was about to go to her room when the door to the main entrance pushed open, and a slap met her cheek. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
Alpha Calhoun turned around instantly, his eyes red. “What is the meaning of that, Deborah?” He snarled.
The middle–aged woman was very upset. “Alpha Cal, let me teach her a lesson. She’s unworthy of being in the pack house, and look at the expensive clothes she’s wearing? Asena never wore such expensive clothes. She should leave.”
Alpha Calhoun was enraged, as if Deborah had just asked for his head. “Deborah, the next time you lay a finger on Aurora, you will live without an arm for the rest of your life.”
Deborah was shocked. “Alpha Cal, what are you saying? I am soon to be your mother–in–law,” she tried to remind him, but what Alpha Cal said caused her jaws to drop.
