Chapter 71.
Angel
POV.
In the days and weeks that followed since I killed uncle Gianni. Things have gone back to normal, and finally my family and the MC are at peace. It is strange to not be in constant danger or waiting for the next catastrophe to happen.
All we can do now is to look forward and finally think of the future and what it may hold for us all. I'm pushing close to five months into my pregnancy and it is amazing. The morning sickness surprisingly stopped not long after the death of uncle Gianni. We put it down to stress.
The baby is growing beautifully and today we are having a gender reveal party. We are holding it in the clubhouse. The MC will be there, my family and those we hold dear.
I struggle to get out of bed as my centre of gravity has shifted and this little one is using my damn bladder as a trampoline.
"Ryder, Ryder, baby. I need to use the bathroom." I shake him as he sleeps like the dead. I roll my eyes and kick him, and he grunts and opens his eyes. The sleepy blues looking at me shining in the first light of the dawn.
"What's the matter, princess?" he leans over and rubs my protruding belly. Before he rolls over, pinning me under him. His arms holding his weight from crushing me.
"Baby, I really need the bathroom." I say and he chuckles before kissing me gently and climbing off of me. He takes my hand and helps me up. Once my feet are planted, I stand, stretching out my lower back and waddle towards the bathroom.Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.
"Be quick, I need you in my arms," he says as he follows behind me. I have told him numerous times he doesn't need to accompany me to the bathroom, but he said what if I fell? What if I bump into something and hurt my belly? I just let him do it. There is no need to argue with him. I won't tell him, but I find it cute that he has this side of him and only we get to see it.
To the world he is a mean looking gruff hulk of a biker man with long blonde hair, an imposable wall. But inside he is the most amazing fiancé and father.
I do my business with a sigh at the instant relief. Never in my life has peeing been such a damn relief than it was these days. After I have pulled up my shorts and flushed and washed my hands. I make my way back to the door. I open it and I'm lifted into his powerful arms. "I can walk, you know." I say with a chuckle, but he just strides with me, like I don't weigh the same as a baby whale.
"I know you can, but I need you in my arms like all the time. I love you, princess. Now let's sleep a little longer before the tiny tearaway wakes up." He chuckles as he settles us both back in bed. He kisses me and I kiss him back. I snuggle down in his embrace and drift back to sleep.
Waking again to find him standing in the doorway holding a tray of breakfast foods. Rebel is beside him, holding her unicorn plushy in her hands.
"Mommy, you're awake." She says as she runs towards the bed. Climbing up, she climbs in under the quilt and into my arms. She kisses my cheek before she kisses my stomach. This is her ritual every morning and night. She says her little sister loves it when she kisses her and tells her stories about our family. How can I argue with that?
Ryder places the tray at the end of the bed and helps me to sit up. My belly is huge and moving around is becoming an issue. So the OBGYN is seeing me more regularly, as she is now controlling and monitoring the pregnancy. At this rate, I will be having a C-Section. I do get pain every now and then in my pelvis and groin when I walk.
A condition called SPD Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction. So walking and moving is difficult. Even with the support belt to cradle my baby bump, it is still painful, but bearable.
"Here you need to eat princess, then we need to get ready for this reveal. Rebel already is convinced the baby is a girl," he says with a chuckle as he too kisses my baby bump. He adjusts my quilt and places the tray on my lap. Rebel is eyeing my toast and I know she has had her breakfast, but still, I can't eat it all.
"Here, you can have my toast. I won't be able to eat it all." I hand her the triangles and she smiles, saying thank you before she eats it and I focus on my eggs and bacon. Once I'm finished, Ryder helps me to stand so I can shower and shampoo my hair. He has bought a seat for the shower because standing too long causes pain. So he helps me wash and once I'm done, he helps me get dressed.
He even braids my hair for me. How did I get so fucking lucky with him? After I'm dressed in a white sundress and gladiator sandals. We are ready to get this show on the road. We don't have far to go, thankfully, so I won't be in the SUV for long.
Once we are bundled into the SUV and on the way. I begin to think about the day ahead. I'm hoping there is no drama. But I know that is such a stupid thing to think about because everything has been great since that day.
I think I'm kind of wondering when this peace will shatter. Is it wrong to think that all this is about to burst? That nothing lasts forever. I would love to live this peaceful life until I take my last breath, but something is telling me that something big is going to happen. Or maybe it is because everything has been going so well.
As we pull up to the gates of the compound that the clubhouse sits inside of. I can see the pastel pink and blue banners on the gates. I chuckle slightly as the gate opens and we drive through and up.
The closer we get, the music gets louder. The tree trunks are wrapped in pastel colours. There is a pink and blue balloon arch around the doors of the clubhouse. There are giant teddy bears wearing pink and blue bow ties.
A board with separate sections. One says boy, and the other says girl. There are names under each section. The members are walking around, helping the women get the finishing touches done. I see some members with it's a girl badge on their cuts, some with it's a boy. I chuckle. I look at Ryder and he winks at me.
"Our moms did this," he says, and I nod my head. There are picnic tables with colourful table cloths. There are also kid's games, a face painter, bouncy house. It's perfect, a big family baby reveal/cookout.
Ryder is out of the SUV and around my side as he opens my door. He helps me out, lifting me in his arms.
"We talked about this, remember? Let me walk to the chair at least." I say, batting my lashes at him, giving him my best puppy dog eyes. It is then that I eye the throne-like chair at the head of the table. Behind the throne is a cluster of pink and on the other side is a cluster of blue balloons.
"Fine, but then you are carried." He
sets me down gently on my feet and takes my hand as Blaze takes Rebel from her car seat and she darts off towards our parents. I walk as best as I can. God, this is harder than learning to walk again. By the time we reach the throne. Ryder supports my back with cushions. He kisses my head. There are sun parasols around the tables and throne. It's the
middle of summer and so it gets
really hot out here.
"I love you. Now sit there and I'll get us a drink." He says as the ole ladies surround me. I smile and chat with them all. All is how it should be.
"So, how are you feeling?" Deanna and Cora come to me and they both kiss my cheek. They sit beside me, taking my hands in theirs.
“I'm ok, aching, but I'm doing good." I say as I rub my belly, the baby rolling and stretching. I wince slightly as the baby moves their elbow or knee and I hiss and grimace. They say you feel the movements earlier after you have had one baby, and that is true. I have been feeling the slight flutters from fifteen weeks.
When Ryder first felt the
movements, he cried and kissed my belly all over. We made love all night that night. He always has his hands on me, either rubbing or just holding
my betty. He said he wants meng
pregnant all the time. Apparently, he loves seeing me pregnant with his children. I find it so heartwarming that this big gruff man is mine the same as I am his.
Ryder returns with a smirk on his face and I look at him, tilting my head to the side. He kisses me. His hand goes to my belly, his thumb moving gently over it.
"Look at the doors of the clubhouse." He whispers and I look up and see Alessa, her girls, Ivar, and the mafia king and queen standing there with two beautiful girls standing on either side of them. They all walk down the steps and come over to me. Alessa and her girls all give me a hug and kiss, same as Ivar does, then Cassandria kisses both my cheeks, Matteo kisses my cheeks as well. The girls, however, are looking at me with smiles in their eyes. They are both in their early twenties and drop dead gorgeous. "Angel, I would like you to meet our twin girls. Gabriella Lousie DeAngelis and Francesca Sophie DeAngelis." I look at the two beauties before me. They are like their mother but with Matteo's hair and eye colour. I smile at them both and say hello.
After we catch up, the party is in full swing. Everyone is laughing and having fun. The kid are playing the many games the club and our parents set up. Even the DeAngelis twins are playing with the kids. Herding them like they are their own little army of tiny terrors. We have opened the mountain of gifts that have been given. All ranging from bottles, blankets, clothes, diapers, wipes, toys and even gifts for Rebel. The club and our families love these kids so much that I get emotional and cry. Damn hormones.
"You ready to find out what we are having?" he asks and I nod my head as a wave of excitement washes over me. We don't even know what we are having. I know some couples find out and then throw a gender reveal, but we didn't want to know. We wanted to find out at the same time our loved ones did.
Ryder is wearing blue ripped jeans showing parts of his muscular legs and tattoos and a white T-shirt that is stretched taut over his chest and of cours his cut. He looks fucking edible.
"Ok everyone. The time has come. Rebel, come here, baby." He shouts, and the music is lowered and everyone is on their feet. Rebel comes running, giggling, her face covered in frosting. I look at the twins and they smirk I roll my eyes at them. Thanks girls. In true biker style, Ryder's bike is rolled out and is positioned, so we are standing in front of it.
Ryder kisses me as our parents surround me. He walks over to the bike and sits on it. Rebel follows him and he places her in front of him.
"You ready, little princess?" he asks her and I smile as he turns the key. He revs the throttle a few times with the help of Rebel. The roar and vibration goes through me.
We all watch in anticipation. My hands become clammy and my heart beats out of my chest.
Coloured smoke starts billowing out of the back of the bike.
""It's a ..."
