Chapter 73.
Angel POV.
I'm ushered away in the arms of Marco as Ryder goes the other way. I must still be dreaming. This has to be a dream, right?
I enter my old bedroom and find my momma, Deanna, Alessa, Cora and a few of the other ole ladies. The ole ladies are all dressed in beautiful dresses wearing their property of cuts. This is a combined mafia and biker wedding.
"Ok, we don't have long to get you ready. So just sit still while we work our magic. I'm sorry for all the secrecy, but Ryder couldn't wait any longer." My momma says as the ladies chuckle. I can't argue with that Ryder has always been impatient.
"Ok, work your magic." I say as the ladies move to help me shower and get me ready for this wedding. I'm still in shock, but it's a good shock if that makes sense?
My hair is dried and Deanna starts putting it up into barrel curls as Alessa works on my makeup. She is not doing anything too glam; I prefer a natural look. So she is doing just that. I'm prodded and poked and after a short time, my hair, and makeup are done. Oh shit, the dress.
"Erm momma, what am I going to wear?" I ask her and she smiles at me and walks to the walk-in and brings out a white dress bag. She hangs in on the door and unzips the zip, revealing a beautiful white gown.
I stand with the help of the ladies. I move towards it. My hand reaches as I touch the soft fabric.
"I know you don't like big and fluffy. So I chose this one. It won't be too tight on your bump and will conceal it." She lifts the dress out, and it is gorgeous.
It is an A-line princess dress made of white chiffon. It has an applique scooping neck line with long sleeves with delicate lace. The lace starts from the wrist up to the elbow and around the top of the arms and across the chest to hide my boobs. In a delicate design of flowers with diamonds. The back has little buttons that run up from the waist. The dress flares from the waist with a sweeping train and a split up the front of the left leg.Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
I have tears in my eyes as I take it in; it is simply stunning. I even have white flats which I chuckle at. Thank god I'm not expected to wear heels, they would definitely cause my pelvis more problems.
"Ok, let's get you in it." My momma says and I nod my head at her. The ladies help me get undressed and into the dress. I turn so my momma can do the buttons up. Alessa is on her knees as she helps me put on my shoes. She stands and nods her head in approval. "There is something missing." She says patting her lip when she turns and walks to my bed and there is a royal blue box sitting there which I didn't notice when I walked in here.
She walks to me with the box, and I look at it. She opens the box and my breath hitches.
"I can't accept this." I say, looking at her when she chuckles and nods her head.
"You can and will. It is a tradition that all mafiosa women must follow. Well, it is our tradition as Donna's. With us being part of the first. We came up with this tradition to pass it on to the next. I was the last, so it is my honour to pass it to you," she says and I look at my momma and she nods her head. So this started with Cassandria.
I look at the diamond, ruby, sapphire, and emerald crown. I reach to touch it, but stop as I look back at my momma.
"You wore this?" I ask her and she smiles at me. I vaguely remember her wearing something like this.
"Yes, all the Donna's have. This is passed on each time a new Donna gets married. So it will be passed from you to Cassandria's twins when they get married, then it will be passed to Rebel and this one. So the tradition is kept long after we die." She says and I fight the tears in my eyes, not wanting to ruin the make-up that Alessa has done.
I lower my head just as the door opens and Cassandria glides in. I look at her and she smiles at me, giving me an encouraging nod of the head.
"I Donna Alessa Valentino-Petrov, hereby welcome and recognise you Angel Maria Moretti as the Donna of the DeNucci family." She places the crown on my head and it is secured with grips. I stand to my full height as the women in the room all come and kiss my cheek. Cassandria is the last to do this. She kisses both my cheeks and takes my hands in hers.
"Welcome Donna Angel. I will be watching and I expect great things from you," she says and I nod my head at her words.
"Now, let us go. Your man is eager to see you," she says just as Rebel enters the room in a dress similar to mine without the split. She looks stunning. Her hair is up in little curls and she is holding a basket filled with red and white rose petals. "Mommy, you look like a queen." She says and I chuckle as she hugs my belly.
"So do you, baby girl. Ok are we ready?" I ask, and she nods her head. I look up at the door and my dad stands there looking handsome in his suit with a smile on his face.
"You look absolutely breathtaking. My little girl is getting married." He says as he hugs me and I once again fight back the tears.
"Ok Antonio, you will ruin her make-up." Alessa says, and he backs away before he offers me his arm. I take it as we all leave the room. He helps me down the stairs and towards the back garden. Delicate music fills the dusk air. The sound of people chatting reaches my ears. I grip my dad's arm tighter. Not in fear, but in the need to get to Ryder.
The ole ladies give me a kiss on the cheek and each walks a head of us. Then Alessa goes with my momma and then Rebel. I can hear the crowd chuckle, no doubt at her antics. I take a few breaths.
"You ready, principessa?" I gulp and nod my head. The music changes to Callum Scott and Leona Lewis. You Are The Reason, a fitting song for all the obstacles we have been through.
My heart races as we walk through the garden. My heart is beating in my ears. Everyone is on their feet. We round the corner and I look up and see him.
Ryder is standing there in a black
dress pants and a white
button-down shirt, with a black suit jacket and his cut. I smile at him; he looks fucking beautiful. His long blond hair is in a bun. His hands are clasped in-front of him. I fight t the sob as I try to walk faster to him. My dad chuckles, but keeps me at a
steady pace.
We finally reach the arch made of white roses. My dad takes my hand in his and I look at him. He kisses my cheek as he looks at Ryder.
"Ryder Savage Jackson, I entrust my only daughter to you. You better look after her and our grand babies or it will be your funeral." The men chuckle and I roll my eyes. Ryder smiles at him as he takes my hand and helps me stand up in-front of him. "If I ever hurt her, I will take my own life. You have my word." He says and my dad nods his head and shakes his hand.
"You look beautiful." Ryder says to me and I look at him, taking him in.
"I think I like you in a suit. Very sexy." I say, giving him a wink, and he chuckles.
"Only for you," he says. I look at the priest and he starts the ceremony. But I'm lost in Ryder's eyes. I smile
at all the good memories we had t
Nothing can destroy us. We have only grown closer. Yes, we started off rocky, but we found our way
back to each other. We always will.
"I do." I snap out of my thoughts as Ryder looks at me, and I receipt the vows.
"I do." the rings are placed on our fingers.
"Well then, with the power invested in me. I now pronounce you man and wife. Ryder, you may now kiss your ..." he is on me before the priest can finish what he was going to say. The crowd erupts into cheers and wolf whistles. Everything fades around me and it's just us in this moment, in this bubble of pure happiness and bliss. When we break the kiss, we are both smiling at each other.
"Now, we need to complete this," he whispers against my lips, and I frown in confusion.
"Angel Moretti, you are not just my wife or a Donna, you are my ole lady. It is my honour to give you this," he says as his dad hands him the leather cut. He holds it up and I see the property of patch on the back with Ryder's road name underneath. On the front it has my name and wife of Savage. I chuckle as he puts
it on me.
I kiss him again. Some would say it disgusting being classed as property, but this is their tradition. I will honour both traditions. After all, I may be a Donna, but I am also the wife of a president of an MC.
