Declare bankruptcy
“Where’s Nina? Where’s that bitch hiding? Go bring her over to me. Today, I’ll teach that slut a lesson that she’ll never forget in her life!”
Madison’s fury knew no bounds as she unleashed her anger upon the servants. Her words were laced with venom, demanding to know Nina’s whereabouts.
“Seriously, why can’t she just die and leave us alone? That fucking whore deserves to die a terrible ”
Before she could finish, her tirade was abruptly halted as a rain of slaps rained down upon her face. One after another, she was beaten up until her cheeks turned swollen, and she could no longer speak.
Shocked, Madison felt the excruciating pain, and her senses swirled in bewilderment.
Horrified by the sudden violence, Mrs. Heath moved forward to shield Madison from further attacks. But before she could reach her, the guards intervened and pushed her to the ground.
“Stop this madness!” Mrs. Heath cried out, her voice filled with anguish as she struggled against the guards. “You’re hurting her! Please, Madison, stop!”
“One more time you call out Nina’s name out of your filthy mouth, and I’ll make sure you never speak again,” Jayden’s chilling voice cut through the turmoil like a sharp blade, silencing the room. “You are welcome to challenge me.”
Madison held her bruised face and flinched at Jayden’s words. With her face now battered and swollen, she gasped for breath as the surrounding chaos escalated.
“I think I had made myself very clear that I’d never tolerate any disrespect towards my wife,”
“Do you think your cheap little tricks would go unnoticed by my eyes?” Jayden questioned, his eyes piercing into Madison’s. “I’ve seen the surveillance footage.”
Looking at her madness, Jayden felt a tinge of regret for indulging her too much.
If he had not spoilt her, she might have not grown to be arrogant and lawless, leading to her current predicament.
And it was funny how Madison still had the cheek to blame Nina for her misfortunes when he hadn’t even settled scores with her for what happened at the school that day.
“Consider yourself lucky that I’ve watched you grow up,” Jayden declared, his tone dripping with a sinister edge. “Or else, it wouldn’t just be simply locking you inside a warehouse.”
As he laid out the accusations, one after the other, the weight of Jayden’s words hung heavily in the air.
Time and again, he had warned everyone not to mess with Nina. However, they took his words on deaf ears.
Since Madison had crossed a line she shouldn’t have, the consequences were obvious.
Aggrieved, Nina had locked herself in that cramped box for an entire day, to escape the emotional turmoil that had engulfed her.
Although he blamed himself that things had turned out this way, Madison could not escape her punishment either.
And so, he had ordered Madison to be locked up for a full 24 hours as well. He wanted her to feel the desperation and agony that Nina had gone through in those few hours.
Madison attempted to open her mouth however, the painful swelling on her face delivered incoherent words from her mouth.
The truth that she had been running away from for so long was now out in the open.
To Madison, who had been madly in love with Jayden since she was a kid, the revelation came as a heavy blow. She had always seen Jayden as an unattainable existence, and now that this image shattered, her entire world had turned upside down.
However, that wasn’t the end of it.
Since David Heath dared to conspire against him, of course, he had to settle the scores with him too.
As the tension hung, Mrs. Heath’s cell phone suddenly rang, breaking the silence.
The situation had been too intense for her to pay much attention to her phone, but when she saw her husband’s name on the caller ID, she answered the call immediately, her heart pounding with anxiety.
“The Heaths are finished,” her husband’s voice came through the phone, carrying a tone of defeat and despair.
With a gasp, Mrs. Heath felt her strength drain away, and she collapsed onto the floor. She looked up at Jayden, fear and trepidation etched across her face.
With a plop, a cell phone was thrown toward her that played a video of David being taken into custody by the police.
“I’m impressed that living under my shadows for so many years had made David so arrogant that he thought he could stab me in the back and I’d do nothing?” Jayden questioned, his tone laced with ridicule.
As Mrs. Heath listened to her husband’s crimes, her face grew increasingly pale. She couldn’t believe that David had dared to betray the Luxton Corps.
The Heath family, while not among the top families in A country, held a significant position among the top ten families. Their million-dollar company had been a source of pride and stability for their family.
But now, in a matter of a single night, their world had crumbled.
As Mrs. Heath lay on the floor and let the weight of their actions sink in, Jayden’s cold gaze bore into her as he mouthed three words, “Should’ve known better.”
Indeed, in that moment, the painful truth became clear.
They should have known better.
They should have understood the depths of Jayden’s ruthlessness before venturing into a confrontation with him.
Before taking any action against him and his wife, they should’ve comprehended the consequences of provoking the one person who could bring them to their knees.
Since they were family, they had assumed that they could arrogantly ride on his coattails, leading them down this treacherous path.
At that moment, Mrs. Heath couldn’t help but reflect on the consequences that had led them to this point.
“Throw them out.” Jayden’s command hung in the air like a death knell.
The guards, their expressions cold and unfeeling, moved forward to carry out his orders. They treated the mother-daughter pair as if they were trash.
“No, no!” Madison screamed like a madwoman and ran up to Jayden. “LJ, please don’t abandon me. I can’t live without you.”
Amidst the entire ordeal, Madison felt a deep sense of fury and blamed her parents for being greedy and stupid.
Desperation welled up inside her as she pleaded with Jayden, her voice trembling. “Please, LJ, don’t cut ties with me. I’ve understood my mistakes. I promise I’ll never trouble or hurt Nina again. I’ll apologize to her and even beg for forgiveness.”
“If that’s not enough, I’m ready to cut all ties with my parents. From now on, I’ll only follow you. Please, LJ, please don’t abandon me.”
“Madison, are you out of your freaking mind?” Mrs. Heath was shocked upon hearing her words.
“Shut up!” Madison roared. “If not for you and Dad, LJ would never abandon me.” If her father had not betrayed the Luxton Corps, Jayden would not have severed ties with them, and Madison could still be his pampered niece. “What’s the use of having two useless parents when you’ve destroyed my happiness?”
Mrs. Heath was torn as every word that came out of Madison’s mouth stabbed right in her heart.
The desperation and craziness that Madison had toward Jayden hit her with a sudden realization.
Her daughter, who had been showered with luxury and privilege since birth, was now willing to give up everything, including her own family, just to have Jayden’s backing.
As the thought took root, a chilling suspicion crept into her mind.
Could it be that Madison had some unspoken feelings for Jayden?
Mrs. Heath couldn’t help but clamp her mouth shut when she considered the possibility. The fact that her daughter might have designs on her uncle was horrifying and filled her with a sense of dread.
From the beginning to the end, Jayden remained the block of ice he was.
Unmoved and unaffected.
He signaled the guards, who moved forward and tossed the mother-daughter pair out of the mansion.
Madison fought violently against the guards, her struggle a desperate attempt to break free from their hold. She struggled maniacally, but her efforts were in vain.
“LJ, please!”
As Madison’s screams slowly faded into the distance, the mansion returned to its original tranquility, as if untouched by the tumultuous events that had just unfolded.

The evening began to cast its dim light outside the ceiling-to-door window. A melodious ringtone pierced the silence inside the bedroom, interrupting the person on the bed.
A slender hand reached out from behind the pillow, fumbling around until it finally located the cell phone on the nightstand.
“Hello?” a groggy voice answered.
“Yo, have you heard?” a voice on the other end said urgently. “The Heaths have gone bankrupt. The school issued an official apology for what Madison did the other day and publicly expelled her from the institution.”Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
With a start, Nina sat up straight, her eyes widening in shock. However, the sudden movement sent a sharp pain shooting through her head.
“The Heaths’ bankruptcy forced Madison and her mother to leave the country. She won’t be a nuisance anymore.” Kaylin continued to speak excitedly from the other end.
After talking with Kaylin for a few more minutes, Nina hung up the call and glanced at the time displayed on the screen.
For the past two days, she had been half-conscious, barely aware of the world outside her room. Other than consuming her meals and medicines, she had been resting, trying to recover from the physical and emotional events.
She ran her fingers through her lush hair as she processed the news of the Heath’s bankruptcy.
The past few days had left her emotionally drained, and this sudden revelation added another layer of complexity to the situation.
Nina climbed out of bed and headed for a quick shower. She changed into an oversized pastel blue sweatshirt and shorts and exited her room.
As she made her way to the kitchen, she spotted Jayden, busy doing god-knows-what. His focus was intense, and she couldn’t help but wonder what he was up to.
The evening shadow glowed through the window, casting a warm hue on Jayden’s side profile, accentuating his build.
That was the charm he held.
Even when he stood there doing nothing, he would still appear as the most attractive person on Earth.
Nina moved past him, her gaze briefly lingering on his captivating figure before she opened the fridge and pulled out a drink. Just as she turned around, she felt her legs swept off the floor.
“Ah!” she let out a small yelp.
