Their Secret Obsession (A Reverse Harem)

Chapter 0258

Lottie POV

As my eyes met Adam's, I felt my body shrink, seeing his eyes were filled with anger and distress, and I knew it was because he was pained by the sight of me reduced to this 'state', struggling on the floor amidst the chaos. That he liked to remark was beneath 'us'. "You are bleeding," Adam seethed, his gaze shifting from my knees to Havoc.

"Shit." I muttered seeing Adam's eyes cast in a crazed rage.

"Char, you need to help." Sage warned as the seriousness of the situation dawned on me: All hell was about to break loose.

"No." I whispered, panicked, frantically looking for Chase as I tried to find the words to explain that it wasn't Havoc's fault.

"Adam.. It's not what you think.." I started to say, but he pinned me with a stare that had ice settling at the base of my spine and my words evaporating from my throat.

"It never is," he scoffed before turning his attention back to Knox's dangerous wolf. "Happy now? Now you have brought her down to the gutter with you?" Adam roared, his tone riddled with contempt.

"Adam." Chase snapped from beside me, but it was too late; his words stung, and my heart sank as the embarrassment of everyone hearing this accusation added to my distress.

"It's Havoc, Adam." Chase tried to reason with my angry older brother while stepping closer to me, his eyes frantically looking for something. "So how about we calm our tits, bro, or we are all mincemeat" I heard Chase warn as he stepped closer to Adam while nodding for someone to approach, his hands raised in a calming gesture, his expression lined with apprehension.

"Better late than never." I yelped, unable to hide my irritation at Chase, who was finally stepping in to help. Although, if I was honest, it seemed he was always there to save the damn day: one way or another. Chase's eyes shot to mine; his brows lifted in a playful challenge that quickly vanished when an almighty roar bounced through the air, reminding him of the problem at hand.

"Hey, buddy, sorry, my brother is just a grumpy fucker. He needs his beauty sleep," Chase offered to Havoc, who was eyeing the three like a predator sizing up prey. Suddenly, I saw everything unfold in slow motion.

"Not buddy." Havoc snarled as he moved closer to me.

"Na, you're right, you're not. You're nothing." Adam seethed, his words catching Havoc off guard; I noted seeing Knox's eyes that shone with Havoc's presence fill with anger. A roar exploded from Knox's lungs. In an instant, Knox began to shift into his werewolf form- Havoc.

"The shithead is massive; he is as big as a fucking dinosaur." I gasped as Knox's bones twisted to adjust to Havoc's form. It had been months since I had seen Havoc in all his glory, and I had forgotten what a scary fucker he was. "Slightly melodramatic." Sage muttered, but I could hear the fear in her tone. I knew that I wasn't far off, no matter how dramatic my thoughts may have been.

"He is just as fucking dangerous as one, and that was my damn point." I spluttered before I felt myself hurtled backwards at an alarming rate. I realised too late to right myself and that I was quickly being thrown into Chase's waiting arms.

"This was why I didn't want you to come, Queenie." Chase erupted like that was fucking helpful right now. Havoc's transformation was swift and terrifying, his body expanding, fur bristling with the raw power of his supernatural form. Reminding us that he was indeed a hellhound, his presence dominating and fearsome, a creature of nightmares? Everyone screamed and scrambled for shelter, and I watched in dismay as Havoc stepped closer to Adam, who was mid-shift, too. novelbin

"No." I screamed as terror grappled with my lungs sucking all oxygen from them as watched Adam transform into a beautiful dark black and red-furred wolf, smaller than Havoc's black beast but just as problematic. His body bore the scars of numerous battles, patches of fur missing from his rugged hide, a testament to his militant survival instinct and fiercely protective nature.

The air in the bar was thick with fear, the tension palpable as chaos erupted. Screams echoed around the room, the sound of glass shattering and furniture breaking added to the racket, but my eyes were focused on my brother's wolf and the torture he had evidently endured.

Adam had suffered that much was clear from the marks he bore on his back alone, and Havoc was a formidable foe, one I wasn't sure Adam would succeed against. My throat stuck together from dread and regret at not knowing Adam better because this very well might be the battle that proved too much for him.

The normally peaceful

establishment, known as a

no-fighting zone among the supernatural community, had transformed into a battleground. Supernaturals from different

factions seized the opportunity

settle old scores, their disputes

igniting amidst the confusion. I felt a deep sense of shame that things had escalated to this level, a pang of guilt that it was all happening because of Knox-because of us.

Before I could step forward to intervene, Havoc, now in wolf form, slid protectively to me, his teeth bared at Chase and Liam, who stood strong beside me.

"I don't want to fight you buddy." Liam stuttered as he shielded me with his body. I tried to push him away, knowing Havoc just needed to see I was here, but Chase held me firm.

"When he is calm, you can go to him, but I will never forgive myself if he hurts you. I just found something to love, Charlotte." Chase whispered, his body tense and ready, but his eyes shined with tears, pleading with me to stay. "Let Adam deal with him.."

"Deal?" I asked my own eyes filling with tears at the thought of what that word meant for both sides, because Adam was big, fierce and scary to shit but Havoc... he was in a league of his own and if Adam went in with the mindset of taking him down, it would be the end of him.. surly?

"Not kill, he wouldn't! He knows he is important to you." My mind spun with confusion because that wasn't what I was referring to.

"I mean, he is a hellhound. He is not a wolf Adam can't possibly win." I spewed panicked by the thought of losing him.

"Don't underestimate him Char, he has his own demons to bear." Chase nodded, but Havoc's growl cut off my reply with a low and menacing echo that bounced around the already chaotic bar, it was a clear warning to anyone who dared approach me. The message clear: Don't!
