Chapter 307
Chapter 307
Isaac stared at her blushing face and couldn't resist pinching her cheek. "Alright, fine. Here." He filled her plate with more food. "Have some more."
Patricia was famished by then, so she dug right in. She had a big appetite, so she made sure to eat her fill during dinner. She could feel her mood improve slightly from having such delectable food.
The moment they emerged from their room, they ran into Percy and Darcie.
Darcie smiled at them. "Hi, Tricia. Hi, Mr. Arnold."
Isaac pulled Patricia closer to his embrace and looked at Percy. Calmly, he said, "You're back, Pers. You didn't call."
Percy had a lot to drink, but he still stood tall, and a smile curled his lips. "What a coincidence. I just came back today." He glanced at Darcie as he said that. I wouldn't have returned if not because of her.
Darcie said nothing. She didn't even need to guess. He must be looking at me like I'm his mother's murderer. She went to his troop and told his commander she was pregnant with his child. And she demanded that he take responsibility in the form of marriage. Percy's commander gave him a few days off to marry Darcie. Immediately. That was an order. And it got on Percy's nerves.
She lied just to get me to help her daughter out.
Isaac nodded. "We should meet up when we have time, but now we have to leave."
Patricia gave her friend a look. I hope she won't do as he says. Please, Darcie, be brave. Be the woman I know you are. "Take care, Darcie." Before taking her leave, she shot Percy a dirty look, telling him not to abuse Darcie.
After they were gone, he pulled Darcie into his embrace. "Did you see the look she was giving me, honey? She thinks I'm abusing you. Am I abusing you?" I'm the one getting abused here.
She looked at him and turned away. "I know you hate this, but as long as you promise to save Poppy, I'll do anything." She was being genuine. As long as Poppy could survive, she was fine with anything. Even if she had to live under his reign of terror for life.
Percy sneered. "Don't forget what you said today." He groped her butt and let out another sneer. "Let's go home, then."
Darcie trembled. She knew what was lying in wait for her. Over the last two weeks, he pounded her as much as he liked, and his stamina knew no bounds. She was terrified of what was going to happen.
Back in their car, Patricia wanted to text Darcie, but she had no idea what to say. Percy could save Poppy. If she were in Darcie's shoes, she would do the same thing for the child. A sigh escaped her lips. Darcie has it hard. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
Isaac turned to look at her. "What's wrong?"
She tucked her phone away and looked at him. "I just think it's hard being a woman." Especially when you have kids. They're our whole world. We'll do anything just for them.
Isaac frowned. "And it's not hard being a man?" He grinned and stared at her lips. Then, he leaned down and kissed her. "It's hard being me too, Tricia. I want you."
She quickly looked at the driver, but Tom pretended he didn't hear them. His eyes remained on the road, but she knew he heard everything. Embarrassed, she whispered, "Fine, I get it. But can you not say that out loud when someone else is around?"
"Well, in that case, shall we head somewhere else to stay for the night?"
