Harriette's POV
Seven hours into the trip. we finally arrived at Alpha Darius' Pack. It was a long and tiring trip but it was mostly interesting since Luna Angela kept telling us some of the crazy things Alpha Darius used to do back in the days.
By the time we arrived at the gate, we met with some of the pack warriors who were waiting. The car drove into the pack properly and I became lost for words. The buildings were mainly skyscrapers and were mostly made of gleaming glass.
If I'd thought Rowan's pack was amazing, what then would 1 classify this pack as
I shared a look with Ella and she raised an eyebrow with a wide grin on her face. More like she was telling me, I told you so,"
Based On the number of people walking around the pack, I could say they were twice or thrice that of the people in Rowan's
Pack.
The car stopped in front of a house surrounded by flowers. Alpha Darius was the first to get down from the car. He opened the door first for Luna Angela before us.
We got to the front porch of the house and Luna Angela turned to me.
"I want you to meet someone,"
Who I wanted to ask but I couldn't. I wasn't lost for words but I didn't want to be too forward. Id decided to be open minded about these people so anything that would bring doubt to my heart was exactly what I would refrain from.

"You guys are back!" she half Screamed.
"We wanted to surprise you, mom"
That was her mother! They had some similarities but it wasn't anything uncanny.
Luna Angela walked towards me and placed her hand lightly on my shoulder.
"Mom, guess who?" She asked.
The woman's mouth dropped slightly as she walked towards me, I could see the tears glistening in her eyes.
"Reina?" She called out.
1 already raised my hand, ready to correct her but I stopped. "Yes, I nodded.
Ella looked at me with a deep
frown on her face.
"Do you remember me?" She asked me.
I shook my head. Even if I wanted to be open-minded. I wouldn't lie about anything. "No, I'm sorry."
When I thought she would be disappointed, she threw her arms around me and hugged me tightly.
"It's fine. You don't have to remember me. As long as you're safe as long as you're back, that's fine by me," She cried.
I didn't hug her back. I couldn't bring myself to.
She kept on holding me and crying for what appeared To be years but only a few minutes. She finally let go and I gave her a

The entire scenario was weird to me. I wasn't used to affection or love. It wasn't my type of scene but I didn't want to act like an idiot. I looked at Ella and I almost laughed. She had this funny look on her face as though she was constipated.
When she saw me staring, she winked and shook her head.
We could never get used to that type of thing, especially from strangers.
We got back into the car and were driven to another location. It was a lone house, but it wasn't that far from one of those skyscrapers. "Welcome home, Harriette," Alpha Darius said. I got out of the car and looked ahead at the house. It looked reallyfamiliar.
An old memory resurfaced All of a sudden, along with a banging headache that made me close my eyes for a minute. "Are you okay, Harriette!" Luna Angela asked, holding my hand nodded once I felt relieved from the headache. “Let's go inside,” she asked me. She was staring at me with worry etched in her eyes. As for me, I glared at Alpha Darius because of the memory I just had.
Once Luna Angela made me sit, she rushed into the kitchen to get me a cup of water. I turned to Alpha Darius at that
moment.
"What's wrong? Do you need something?" He asked when he saw me glaring at him.
You abandoned her and Reina, didn't you?" I asked him.
He frowned. "What?"
I clicked my tongue and looked away. There was no need to try to talk to him about it. It wasn't worth it.
Even though I wasn't thirsty, I collected the water from Luna Angela.
"Thank you," I appreciated her.
"How are you feeling now?"
"Much better, thank you,"
She smiled at me.
Ella suddenly cleared her throat. For a minute, I'd forgotten she was even in the room. "Where do I go to get assigned to a room?"
She asked Alpha Darius.
"You can stay here with us," Luna Angela suggested.
"Yeah, we'll share a room," I added.
Ella laughed. “No, I'm okay. I want to mingle with others too. Moreover, I'm not a part of your family,"
She said. I suddenly felt bad about that.
I held her hand. "Ella, come on, I wanted her to stay.
"Harriette, come on," she mimicked me and laughed while I glared at her.
"Come with me," Alpha Darius said when we realized Ella wouldn't change her mind.
She waved at me as she left and promised to come back later at night to see us.
Once they walked out of the door, I turned to Luna Angela.
"He abandoned you and Reina, didn't he?"
She snapped her gaze at me and I could read through the look on her face.
"What are you talking about? He didn't know about you until you were five, going to six,"
I frowned. That wa

"That isn't what... I saw something. You and Reina were inside this house alone in the dark and it looked mostly abandoned. Someone was at the door and you asked her to hide because it was scary. Where was he? How could he have left you both here alone? What were you two doing here alone?" I asked angrily.
I didn't know why I was angry but I was just mad, especially at Alpha Darius
She walked to me and hugged me while tears dropped from her eyes.

I shook my head. I shouldn't have said anything. "It doesn't matter,"
A boy opened the door and came in. He was Luna Angela's spitting image.
One more look at him and I saw something I shouldn't have seen
It was scary and heartbreaking.
The boy was covered in blood and Luna Angela hovered over him, tears running down her face.
What the heck did I just saw?
